Meet Sarah Wilkins

Healing was never meant to happen in isolation.

ReWilding Therapy was created by Sarah Wilkins to offer a different kind of therapeutic experience. One rooted in trauma-informed care, connection, nature, play, and meaningful relationships.

Her Approach

Therapy that honours the nervous system, relationships, and the whole person...

At ReWilding Therapy, healing is not approached through pressure, performance, or the belief that people need to be "fixed."

Instead, this work is rooted in safety, connection, curiosity, movement, play, and attuned relationships.

Many children, youth, adults, and families arrive carrying experiences that feel overwhelming, isolating, or difficult to put into words. Trauma can impact the nervous system, emotional regulation, relationships, self-worth, and our ability to feel safe in the world and within ourselves.

Through trauma-informed, experiential, play-based, and nature-based therapy, clients are invited to slow down, reconnect, and gently begin building safety, trust, and resilience at a pace that feels supportive and sustainable.

Supporting children, youth, adults, and families through trauma-informed, relationship-centred care.

Meet Sarah

Sarah Wilkins believes meaningful change happens when people feel safe enough to show up exactly as they are. Her work is rooted in connection, curiosity, and a trauma-informed understanding of how experiences shape the nervous system, relationships, and sense of self.

As both a practitioner and a trauma survivor, Sarah understands that growth is rarely linear. Her own experiences have given her a deep appreciation for the courage it takes to reach out for support and the importance of finding approaches that honour each person's unique story. This perspective continues to shape the compassionate, relationship-centred care she offers today.

Throughout her career, Sarah became increasingly aware that traditional models of therapy do not work for everyone. Many children, youth, and families benefit from opportunities to explore, connect, move, and express themselves in ways that extend beyond conversation alone. This understanding led her to pursue specialized training in trauma-informed, play-based, and equine-assisted approaches that bridge the gap between evidence-based practice and authentic human connection.

Today, Sarah is especially passionate about supporting vulnerable children and youth while also working with families, veterans, first responders, and individuals navigating the impacts of trauma. Through ReWilding Therapy, she is creating a space where people feel safe, supported, and connected to both themselves and the natural world.

Healing often begins the moment someone realizes they don't have to carry everything alone.

The Heart Behind ReWilding Therapy

community connections

Giving Back Through Community Partnerships

Caring for a community extends beyond the therapy room. Sarah is honoured to support local organizations through partnership and pro bono work, helping expand access to trauma-informed care, connection, and support for children, youth, and families.

looking ahead

Building something deeply rooted in care, connection, and community.

While ReWilding Therapy continues to grow, the vision remains the same: to create spaces where people feel safe, supported, and deeply connected.

Sarah's long-term dream is to build Ontario's first farm-based trauma care centre, offering innovative, relationship-centred support for children, youth, adults, and families. A place where healing can happen through connection, nature, movement, play, and community.

Every step forward is guided by the belief that meaningful support should be accessible, compassionate, and rooted in relationships that help people feel seen, valued, and understood.
